Originally incorporated as Aptech Information Systems Limited, it changed its name to Hexaware Technologies in 2002. The company was acquired by Baring Private Equity Asia in 2013 and subsequently by The Carlyle Group in 2021. Hexaware operates globally with numerous offices and delivery centers and has established a new global business headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey, to support its North American growth.
